An Internal Model Based—Sliding Mode Control for Open-Loop Unstable Chemical Processes with Time Delay

This paper presents a dynamic sliding mode control (DSMC) for open-loop unstable chemical or biochemical processes with time delay. The controller is based on the and internal model concepts. proposed DSMC has an P/PD to provide systems disturbance rejection. An identification method approximates nonlinear process first-order delayed (FODUP). reduced-order model(FODUP) used synthesize new controller. performance of stable satisfactory despite nonlinearities in operating conditions due set-point changes. In addition, analysis schemes was evaluated various indices transient characteristics, including integral squared error (ISE), total variation effort (TVu), maximum overshoot (Mp), settling (ts). Finally, output action all controllers are compared using as real plant.
